DIRECTIONS TO
ALLEN PARK FIELDS FROM WESTERN WAYNE OR DEARBORN.
|
|
All
of our fields, except Champaign, are located within neighborhoods.
Hopefully this narrative, along with the map, will assist you in easily
finding our fields. Using I-94 as a focal point, take I-94 east and exit
at the Southfield Freeway/Pelham Road exit. Note, that when you exit
I-94 and go south on Southfield (you will eventually be going east but
the exit off I-94 says south) the freeway will end shortly, and
Southfield becomes a road:

BOCCABELLA
(Rosedale) |
| If you are
approaching Allen Park from I-94, take the Southfield Freeway south exit
off I-94, and Southfield will become a road traveling east through Allen
Park. If you are approaching Allen Park on the Southfield Freeway,
continue on the freeway until it becomes a road going eastbound in Allen
Park. In both circumstances continue on Southfield Road going east,
about 2 miles, until you reach Rosedale St. There will be a traffic
light. Go south (right) on Rosedale for about 1/4th of a mile until you
reach Regina St. Go east (left) on Regina, and the field is immediately
to your left. |

BRAND FIELD |
| Take
Southfield south to Outer Drive. Go east(left) on Outer Drive to Allen
Rd. Go south (right) on Allen about ½ mile to Paris St. Go east(left)
on Paris to Lawrence. Go left on Lawrence, and the field is to your
immediate left. |

CABRINI HIGH SCHOOL (BASEBALL)
FATHER MURPHY(SOFTBALL) |
| Take
Southfield south to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1 mile east on
Southfield after the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south (right). At
Ecorse Road , Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Continue south on Allen
Road to Wick(about 2 miles). Go left on Wick(east) about ¾ of a mile
to Cabrini High School. The field is behind the school. |

RILEY
SCHOOL |
| Same as the
directions above for Cabrini except travel a few blocks further south
on Allen past Wick to Moore St. Go east(left) on Moore for about 1
mile. When you come to Riley School, the field is located behind the
school building. Please note that when traveling on Moore you will
drive past the ball fields of Cabrini High on your left. Don’t be
confused, Riley is further up Moore on the right side. |

KENNEDY
FIELD |
| Take
Southfield Freeway south to Outer Drive. Go east (left) on Outer Drive
to Larme St. Go south (right) on Larme to Euclid St. Go east (left) on
Euclid until it dead ends at the park. |

CUNNINGHAM FIELD |
|
Take
Southfield Freeway north until it ends and becomes a road in Allen
Park. Once the freeway ends there is a street that runs west by a
traffic light and a gas station; that street is Pinecrest. Go west
(right) on Pinecrest to Larme St.. Make a right on Larme and the park
is at the end of the street.
Please
note that when you are approaching the end of the Southfield Freeway
you want to be in the right lane so you can make the right turn onto
Pinecrest. Pinecrest comes up fast after the freeway ends.

MILWARD
FIELD |
|
This will probably be the most difficult field for you to
find in Allen Park if you are not familiar with the area, so take some
extra time. Take Southfield south to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1
mile east on Southfield after the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south
(right). At Ecorse Road, Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Continue
south on Allen Road to Wick (about 2 miles). Go east (left) on Wick to
Reeck Rd. (first stop sign). Go south (right) on Reeck for about 1
mile until you come to Rose St. Go east (left) on Rose until it dead
ends at the field.
Note: That
when driving on Reeck if you eventually cross Goddard Road you’ve
gone too far south.

MIDDLE
SCHOOL |
| Take
Southfield south to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1 mile east on
Southfield after the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south (right). At
Ecorse Road, Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Continue south on Allen
Road to Champaign. Go east (left) on Champaign. Take Champaign about
¾ of a mile to Vine St. and the field is to your right. |

FIELD |
| Take
Southfield south to Outer Drive. Go east (left) on Outer Drive to
Allen Rd. Go south (right) on Allen about ½ mile to Arlington St. Go
east (left) on Arlington until it dead ends at the field. |

| Take
Southfield south until the freeway ends. Continue on Southfield Road
east to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1 mile east on Southfield after
the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south (right). At Ecorse Road,
Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Go west (right) on Ecorse to Norwood
(about ¼ mile). Go north (right) on Norwood to Philomene. Go east
(right) on Philomene to Gahona. Make a right on Gahona and the field
is on your left. |

PRETTY
FAMILY (QUANDT FIELD) |
| Take
Southfield south to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1 mile east on
Southfield after the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south (right). At
Ecorse Road, Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Continue on Allen Road
until you come to Thomas St. Go east (left) on Thomas to Quandt St. Go
north (left) on Quandt and the field is to your left. |

GULLIVER/409/CHAMPAIGN FIELDS |
| Take
Southfield Freeway south until the freeway ends. Continue on
Southfield Road east to Roosevelt (Roosevelt is about 1 mile east on
Southfield after the freeway ends). Take Roosevelt south (right). At
Ecorse Road, Roosevelt turns into Allen Road. Go west (right) on
Ecorse to Pelham (about 1 mile). Go south on Pelham past Champaign St.
(about ½ mile) and turn into the Champaign Park parking lot.
Gulliver/409 field is located in the southeast section of the park and
can be distinguished by the dugouts. Champaign #3 is located in the
southwest corner of the complex. |

INTERCITY BAPTIST CHURCH /
SCHOOL |
| Take Southfield Freeway south and exit
at Outer Drive. Take Outer Drive east to Allen Road. Take Allen Road
south about 1/4th of a mile, past Thurnderbowl Lanes. The church
will be on your right (west side). Turn into the driveway and go to
the back of the church where the school fields are located. |
